Olympia Rising is a 2D action platformer that takes place in an ancient Greek setting populated by Gods and monsters from Greek Mythology. It was funded on kickstarter.com by 842 backers and launched on Steam in June to mostly positive reviews. After fans have been teased this whole year of 2015, Atari finally announced the date of the new addition to this prestigious franchise.
The game has been clearly hyped by fans for the overall cleanliness of the game, as tested at PAX 2015. Atari let attenders play a demo world of RCTW at this event, and it was raved by many. RCTW features a new building style for rollercoasters and pathways. Rollercoasters are used by a mechanism where you drag the piece to where you want to go. The piece will form the way you want it. Pathways will also be able to be curved for a more overall realistic feel to the game.
There is a lot of more information on RCTW. If you’d wish to learn more, then head over to their website @ rollercoastertycoon.com. Hopefully this game will be a great new piece to the franchise.

China officially ended their 15 year video game console ban only yesterday. China originally began the ban in 2000 when fears arose about consoles having physical and mental negative affects on development of children. This left people playing with PCs, mobile devices, and web-based video games. The only possible way to receive or sell said consoles, was through the black market. With the console ban lifted, PCs just got three new competitors in the Chinese market.
The Know, a YouTube channel consisting of Rooster Teeth members who post videos about news in gaming, recently published a video about an anonymous source from within Valve. In the video, they stated that the anonymous source said that Half-Life 3 is not needed at the current time and that Valve fears internet backlash if the game turns out to be badly received.
I can’t comment on Valve’s internal process, but I can say that it sounds like someone is trolling. Anonymous sources have been posting speculation masquerading as inside knowledge since the Half-Life 1 delay in 1997. If it’s any comfort, please rest assured that in my experience at Valve, fear is the last thing that would ever drive a decision about what to work on.
