GTA V Delayed for PC

Grand Theft Auto V, a widely popular game released for consoles, has been delayed on PC yet again.

Grand Theft Auto V was released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2013. By the time it released on PS4 and Xbox One in 2014, the PC version was already announced. It was originally set to come to PC on January 27th, 2015, but was soon delayed to March 24th, 2015. However today, Rockstar Games announced that GTAV has been delayed until April 14th, 2015.  The official quote from Rockstar Games is:

“GTAV for PC will be arriving on April 14th at retail and as a digital download. Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC. As a gesture of thanks for your understanding, we will grant anyone who has pre-ordered the game an additional $200,000 in-game cash for use in GTA Online.”

So, according to this statement by Rockstar Games, the developers are working hard to make sure players are able to play both Heists and GTA Online on launch day. Additionally, anyone who pre-orders GTAV on PC receives an extra $200,000 in-game cash for GTA Online. This has been added to the pre-order bonus while the San Andreas offer is over.

Apart from the good news of heists finally coming to GTAV, Rockstar also announced that:

“The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware (system specifications) and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos.”

This means that a video editor will be included in the PC release of GTAV, most likely to be able to create “machinimas” and short movies. This also means that GTAV on PC will be the version with the best graphics and detail.
