Olympia Rising is a 2D action platformer that takes place in an ancient Greek setting populated by Gods and monsters from Greek Mythology. It was funded on kickstarter.com by 842 backers and launched on Steam in June to mostly positive reviews. The game was released on the Wii U eShop in Europe on April 15, and will finally make it’s way to the US eShop today on June 9.
Starting tomorrow, June 9, Nintendo will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of their eShop with a 50% off sale on all 45 games listed here. Among these games is Donkey Kong 64, EarthBound, F-ZERO, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Super Mario Bros. The sale will end on June 23.
On June 1st, 2016, an anonymous user compromised the BrawlBRSTMs3 channel on YouTube. BrawlBRSTMs3 was a popular channel that regularly uploaded extended rips of video game music onto YouTube for the enjoyment of other people.
On April 1, 2016, Nintendo announced in their “What’s New” blog that Nintendo DSi Shop services will be discontinued in the early months of 2017. Nintendo DSi Shop points will still be obtainable until September 30, 2016 while purchasing content will last until March 31, 2017. Additionally, Nintendo has stated that the ability to re-download DSi games from the shop will end at some point too. Nintendo has assured us that DSi Ware games will remain in the Nintendo eShop.

In October of 2015, 343 Industries released a public API beta for Halo 5: Guardians which shared data of players with web developers. This was generally successful and allowed for the creation of several websites such as Halo Tracker and Halo Data Live.
Today, 343 Industries has announced a “Hackathon” competition for developers to compete in.
